Sichuan Meishan City, a new energy technology Co., Ltd. in 2011, a 55KW/ 8kg air compressor hot exhaust pipe water caused an electrical short circuit fire and caused the burning of lubricating oil fire accident。
At about 1 am, there was a strong wind and thunderstorm, and the equipment in the plant operated normally。Suddenly a huge wind and thunder, the factory inspection workers found a fire accident in the factory air compressor。At the same time of notifying factory leaders, immediately organize personnel to extinguish the fire。Under the joint efforts of the factory cadres and employees who came to the news, the fire was extinguished, no major fire was caused, and greater losses were avoided。

Accident cause analysis:
(1) The air compressor is starting the process, the hot exhaust duct is open, when the wind accompanied by rain countercurrent into the air compressor, causing the electrical part of the instant short circuit fire。
(2) The maintenance and maintenance of the air compressor is not thorough, the connectors and pipe fittings in the oil circuit system have seepage, resulting in more oil in the machine, and the oil increases the combustion when the electrical components are short-circuited and caught on fire。
(3) During the boot process of the air compressor, the exhaust temperature reached more than 90 degrees, and the temperature of the lubricating oil of the time and space compressor was also about 90 degrees。The open flame caused by short circuit is also burning, and the double layer heating of internal and external temperature is too high, resulting in the combustion of lubricating oil inside the oil circuit system。
(4) Because the hot exhaust duct is not equipped with anti-rain countercurrent measures, a large amount of rain enters the air compressor, causing an important reason for electrical short circuit。Because the hot air exhaust measures taken by the factory are installed on the air compressor building of the tin air pipe straight line, the water in the plant flows downstream when the rainstorm, coupled with the effect of external wind push into the air pipe flow into the machine。
The above analysis confirmed that the main reason for the accident was the rainwater entering the air compressor and the unreasonable measures of the hot exhaust duct, so the following specific prevention and control measures were proposed for the fire accident:
(1) Rectify the exhaust pipe to prevent rainwater from flowing into the machine in bad weather
(2) Regular maintenance and repair of the air compressor to ensure that the air compressor is clean and clean without oil pollution, and the lubricating oil temperature will not exceed the reasonable range during operation。
(3) Strengthen the on-site inspection of supporting facilities in the machine room, rectify the hidden dangers immediately, and ensure that the indicators meet the safety regulations。
